What is your name & how many children do you have?My name is Sarah Wallace and I have two children. Daughter Anna (6) and son John (2).What’s the name of your company and the inspiration behind it?For my writing services I just use my namesake, Sarah Wallace and through much networking, it has become my brand. My inspiration is that after years of being away from writing work to stay at home with my children, I missed it and decided to hang out my shingle. What was your start-up cost (rough estimate) and when did your company become profitable? My start up cost was only my time. I started a blog and then used Twitter as a pointing device as well as a way to connect with others. I found that after 3 months I started to get many requests for my writing services. What is your current business struggle? My current business (and personal) struggle is whether or not to spend more hours working and finding a sitter for my son or keep my business part time. I'm getting a lot of referals but not sure how busy I want to be. My son will only be young once. What is your current business goal?Eventually, I would like to be able to work all day while my kids are both full time in school. What is your favorite business book or website? Why?My favorite site is Mashable.com It's a site that discusses all issues that are social media and it's a great resource. What is your favorite quote?"If you don't take a chance, you don't stand a chance." Funny back story, I actually discovered that quote when I was in junior high and watching the show Kate & Allie. Even though I was a preteen, that quote really stuck with me.Who is your business idol? Why?Ooh, that's hard to narrow down.. There are so many business people I look up to but I would say the likes of Martha Stewart and Kimora Lee Simmons. Both strong women (albeit in very different ways) who have worked really hard to develop their products and brands. What advice would you give to a new mom entrepreneur?Stick with it but be prepared to change, you may find that people may want you for talents that you weren't originally thinking of.How can we connect with you?E-mail: sarah@sarahwallace.com Website http://www.sarahwallace.com Twitter: http://twitter.com/sarah_wallace Facebook http://www.facebook.com/sarahwallace
