Want to sync and back up your files? Drop everything.
Over the past ten years, I've been the victim of one PC death, one laptop death, two computer crashes, three email viruses and more system "freezes" than I can count.I lost really important business files like contracts, patent documents, product photographs, lengthy email records, tax returns (and of course, I was then audited), receipts and hundreds of contacts, as well as really sentimental things like photographs of my three kids and their precious artwork that I'd uploaded to my computer. After losing my entire email database about 5 years ago, I bought a Clickfree (which I loved) and saved everything on my computer on it. Then, in 2009, my PC died and I decided to use it as an opportunity to buy something I'd always wanted - a Mac (which I ADORE).Well guess what? The Clickfree wasn't compatible with my new Mac, so now I have a ton of old files sitting on the Clickfree that I can't use. Sigh...Now, thanks to Dropbox, I don't have to worry about any of this anymore. On my Mac, my Macbook Pro or my iPhone. :)Between home computers, work computers, Smartphones, Netbooks and Tablets chances are you’ve needed something from one device when you’re on another. Or, you spend tons of time emailing documents, files and pictures to yourself so you can access them elsewhere. Not only is it annoying, but it’s completely unnecessary. If you want to be able get a hold of your digital files no matter where you are then check out Dropbox– quite simply the easiest online storage app around. Once you download it to your computer you can just drag and drop any file into your Dropbox folder where it will live safe and sound in an encrypted cloud (watch our video to see exactly what that means).Breathe easy knowing your files are synced, backed up, easily accessible, and can even be shared with other people. Check out this week’s video, and not only will you learn all about Dropbox, but Carley will reveal a secret talent she shares with another clever blonde.
