Mogul Mom Spotlight - Kayla Haber-Goldstein
WHAT’S YOUR NAME?Kayla Haber-GoldsteinCOMPANY NAMEDesign Your DreamTELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND WHY YOU STARTED IT
I am an interior designer, I design homes for moms and families so that they can lead a calm lifestyle. I started this business becuse I saw such a huge difference in my parenting when i pulled my house together that I wanted to do that for all the other moms out there.
WHAT DO YOU SELL?I sell interior design packages. There is a consultation package, a room finish (accent) package and a full room design package. All flat fees so that there are no surprises and all done with minimal work for the mom so that this isn't another task on her to-do list.WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE?My target audience is moms of young children, anyone striving for a calm home and to be a calm mama. I help them achieve that through their surroundings - and the difference it makes is unbelievable.WHAT 3 PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
1. Getting my college work noticed by a designer, picked up and implemented into real buildings so that by the time I was halfway through school I already had a decent portfolio.
2. Getting published in multiple magazines as an interior design consultant.
3. My biggest of all though is the letters, messages, and emails that I get from moms who watch my youtube channel or follow me on FB thanking me for the change my tips have brought into their home. That is my ultimate goal and for that I am very very grateful.
WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS STORY UNIQUE?
My business story is unique since I am not a typical interior designer. I am taking interior design off its luxury pedestal and introducing it a a necessity. It is necessary to have a home where we feel comfortable and happy in order to be comfortable and happy, if you're home is falling apart so will you- and I know this from personal experience. I am a mom of two toddlers and my journey to being a #calmmama was a difficult and long one due the the birth, and subsequent traumas I have had to face.
