Mogul Mom Spotlight - Becky Bavli

WHAT’S YOUR NAME?Becky BavliCOMPANY NAMET is for TameTELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND WHY YOU STARTED IT

I started a haircare brand for babies, toddlers and up!  When my twins' hair started growing in, it stood up straight. It was cute at first, but I wanted an option of having it lay flat. As a twin Mom, everyone is asking for pictures. Nothing existed on the market that was natural and organic and specifically made for "taming" unruly baby hair. So, I worked with a chemist and created it. I quickly found that many other Moms shared my enthusiasm for solving this problem.

WHAT DO YOU SELL?

We currently have 2 products: a taming cream and a taming mist. Both products work to "tame" hair. The cream is slightly thicker and is applied when dry for a medium hold. The mist can be applied wet or dry and is a light hold. Both have our signature sweet vanilla scent. All products use either natural or organic ingredients.
We are also about to launch an all natural, wood baby hair brush, and mini toddler hair clips.

WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE?First time Moms 25+ with babies 0-3 years old. Mom is busy, but it’s her first baby and she cares about how her baby looks to the outside world. Her baby doesn’t need to be “perfect” but she wants to leave the house with baby in a cute outfit, hair in place, and face clean. For her this is especially important for pictures, as she is a heavy social media user, and wants others to see her baby the way she does.  While some days she doesn’t mind the “wild child” look, she also wants the option to have it lay flat without covering it with a hat, bow or something that isn’t specifically for fine baby hair.WHAT 3 PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?

1. Leaving a six figure job to follow my dream
2. Teaching myself how to launch a new retail product - from sourcing to manufacturing to sales
3. Becoming "Amazon's Choice" and hitting 750 sales a month, in the first month
WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS STORY UNIQUE?
I am solving a problem for Moms. Right now, she uses lotion, DIY conditioning sprays, and anything else she can get her hands on to get her babies hair to stay in place.
