January Action: 31 Days To Build A Better Blog

There are just a few days until 2010 and I don't know about you, but I'm already planning my goals (not resolutions) and breaking them down into doable steps. One of my goals is to breathe some new life into The Mogul Mom. I've been blogging since 2007 and honestly, I've been suffering from some serious writer's block and overall brain staleness. LOL.So today, I dug out my copy of 31 Days To Build A Better Blog and I'm going to spend the month of January repeating the whole thing. Now if starting a blog or rejuvenating a blog is on your list of goals for 2010, then 31 Days To Build A Better Blog is a MUST READ. Here's why:31 Days to Build a Better Blog is a downloadable e-book designed to help you strengthen your blog by giving you 31 tasks meant to help you improve your blog and engage your readers more through different types of posts. Tasks included writing, promotion techniques, methods to deepen reader engagement, creative thinking exercises, ideas for breaking through bloggers block and much more.5 Reasons Why I Loved 31DBBB:

  1. Affordability–at just $19.95 for 94 pages of content, it’s a great bargain. And though there are 31 tasks in the ebook, you can easily repeat them to further fortify your blogging skills.
  2. Pick your pace–as a busy blog writer and mother of three, I really loved 31DBBB because it allowed me to go at my own pace, doubling up on tasks on the weekends when I have more free time and skipping around a bit to find the tasks that would challenge me more at this time. The tasks don’t need to be done in any particular order or timeframe, which is perfectfor mom entrepreneurs.
  3. Learning style–I learn best by studying a subject and then putting what I’ve learned into practice with specific tasks and that’s exactly how 31DBBB is set up. Each day, Darren gives instruction on the how and why of the day’s task and then your “assignment” is to complete that task.
  4. Format–I love a good workbook that I can dog-ear, highlight and write in. I’ve done online seminars before and though I learned alot, there’s just something about having an actual, physical book in front of me that I love. 31DBBB not only has 31 tasks, it also has bonus material (extra tips, questions & reflections) AND note areas where you can record your ideas and make plans to implement the lessons.
  5. Results–Darren’s not known as “ProBlogger” for nothin’. ;) In 31DBBB, Darren teaches you proven methods of improving your blog and engaging your readers. Since completing 31DBBB, I’ve noticed an increase in traffic and it’s helped me hone my blogging mission.
